NASHVILLE – Acclaimed, award-winning Nashville recording artists Sara Evans, Diamond Rio and Bo Bice will play a special benefit concert Friday, Jan. 14 to celebrate the inaugural of Governor-Elect Bill Haslam as Tennessee’s 49th governor.
The “All Together Now” benefit concert highlights Governor-Elect Haslam’s “Tennesseans – Working Together, Moving Forward” weeklong, statewide inaugural celebration. The concert will be held at Nashville Municipal Auditorium at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 and available on-line at www.billhaslam.net, www.ticketmaster.com, or at the Municipal Auditorium box office, 417 Fourth Avenue North.
All proceeds will be donated to “TN Achieves,” a scholarship initiative benefitting Tennessee community college students.
Evans is a multi-platinum selling, former Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year winner. Diamond Rio is one of the most successful music groups in history, with 13 Grammy nominations, six No. 1 hit songs, and more than 10 million records sold. Bice emerged as an American Idol star whose 2005 hit “Inside Your Heaven” reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Haslam will take the oath of office and become Tennessee Governor Saturday, Jan. 15 at Legislative Plaza in Nashville.
