NASHVILLE, TN – Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Chris Devaney released the following statement today in response to Governor Haslam signing tenure reform into law-
“I commend Governor Haslam for signing tenure reform into law today, which is a monumental step toward meaningful education reform. The efforts of Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey and Speaker Beth Harwell should also be recognized for their continuing efforts in shepherding this legislation into law. Governor Haslam and the majority of our legislators understand that by improving education, we are investing in our children’s future and creating a more-educated workforce,” said Devaney.
