Tennessee’s House Democratic Caucus held elections for leadership positions within the caucus

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee House Democratic Caucus held elections for leadership positions today. Rep. Craig Fitzhugh and Rep. Mike Turner were re-elected to be Democratic Leader and Caucus Chairman respectively.

“Because we stuck together and worked hard, we successfully defeated a Republican incumbent and are welcoming five freshmen to the House Democratic Caucus this year,” said Chairman Turner. “We have important issues facing us this year, and Democrats have to be the voice for working families in Tennessee who are hurt by the Republican polices in this state.”
