Press release from the Campaign for Liberty; July 31, 2013:
SPRINGFIELD, Virginia– Today, Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) stood with President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and against the rule of law to continue sending foreign aid to Egypt. Under current law, the United States is prohibited from providing financial assistance to countries that have experienced a military coup d’état.
“Despite the fact that nearly 75 percent of Americans are against sending foreign aid to Egypt, Senator Alexander and Senator Corker stood with President Obama and Harry Reid to vote against the rule of law and the American people,” said Campaign for Liberty President John Tate.
“Campaign for Liberty will be sure to remind the citizens of Tennessee that Senator Alexander and Senator Corker stood with Obama to send their money to Egypt.”
