Press release from the Tennessee Republican Party, September 25, 2014:
We’re continuing our efforts to catalogue Gordon Ball’s missteps in his U.S. Senate race against Senator Alexander–and they are plentiful.
- Today he’s out taking swipes at the Tennessee Farm Bureau and its 650,000 members because, apparently, their candidate forum doesn’t sit well with his definition of a public forum between candidates. That likely isn’t a smart move given the Farm Bureau’s highly informed and engaged members are also highly informed and engaged voters in Tennessee.
- Earlier this week, the AFL-CIO came out and doubled down on their support for Ball in response to our mention of the group’s backing Ball’s candidacy. In right-to-work Tennessee, Ball must be asking, “With friends like these, who needs enemies?”
- And, of course, there’s this week’s embarrassing episode with the NRA survey.
On that last note, we’re out today with a new web video highlighting Gordon Ball’s “F-rating” on the Second Amendment. Given he essentially used the “dog ate my homework” excuse, our video plays on that same classroom theme.
