Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam speaks with reporters about last legislative session’s “Guns in Parking Lots” bill, outside of the Department of Transportation’s 30th Anniversary “Keep TN Beautiful” luncheon. There has been no change in opinion on the issue in his administration, Haslam said.
Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey has expressed interest in taking the issue up again since Attorney General Robert Cooper’s ruling. Haslam said that he had never considered 2014 as a year with much focus on gun legislation, and added that approval of any legislation on the matter would depend on what it actually said.
