Pre-K Lobbying Day Planned for Tuesday, March 1

Legislative breakfast to kick off day of advocacy

The Tennessee Alliance for Early Education will host its 2011 Pre-K Day on the Hill on Tuesday, March 1. The Pre-K Day on the Hill is being held in conjunction with the United Ways of Tennessee, the Tennessee Association for the Education of Young Children (TAEYC) and the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry will begin with a legislative breakfast reception at 7:45 a.m., at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. More than 200 people are expected to attend the Hill Day event to show support for maintaining funding for the state’s voluntary pre-K program.
